Welcome to the High Oaks Railroad

A Brief History Of High Oaks

Alan and Kathleen Fanke fell in love with, and purchased their Kansasvile home in the fall of 1999, and started laying track under the massive oaks the following spring of 2000. Previous to that, Alan's first railroad, Prairie Flats, was a modest 800 foot loop around his property in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin. High Oaks Railroad is a 1-1/2 inch scale railroad that currently features over 2,300 feet of 7-1/2” Gauge track. Alan's private facility offers guests access to electric, air, water, as well as a loading ramp for those of you that plan on visiting with your locomotive. Current minimum radius on the mainline is 25 foot. Alan has plans for future additions such as a turn table, and more sidings.
